How to Redeem Globe Rewards Points as Mobile Data Promos

I shifted to Globe after my last Smart Postpaid Plan years ago. Back then, most of us were Smart and TNT subscribers. People would even associate mobile networks to social classes – Globe was for the rich kids. After the market introduction of Android phones and mobile internet browsing however, many started to shift from Smart to Globe for reasons related to internet speed and mobile data packages.

While I am now a Globe subscriber and I don’t consider shifting back to Smart, I’ll share here how to redeem (or convert) Globe Mobile Rewards points as mobile load or data promos. It helps a lot especially when I run out of mobile credits or just don’t have a stable wifi connection.

[1] How do I earn Globe Rewards points? If you’re a Globe Prepaid or TM customer, your points are computed based on your reloads. If you’re a Postpaid customer, your points are based on total monthly bill payments.

[2] What can I redeem using my Globe Rewards points? There are a lot of choices! You can redeem your favorite surfing, call & text promos such as: (a) Globe Prepaid – Facebook, GoSurf, GoUnli, FB Messenger and more, (b) TM – Facebook, GoSurf, FB Messenger, Combo promos and more, and (c) Postpaid – Facebook, GoSurf, GoWatch, and bill rebates.

You can use your points as cash at the following partner establishments – KFC, BENCH, Marks & Spencer, Jamba Juice, Ayala Cinemas and more. You can convert your points to SM Advantage Card Points for more shopping credits at SM Stores and affiliate brands. Lastly, you can also convert your points to AirAsia BIG points for tickets to must-see travel destinations!

[3] How can I redeem these rewards? For convenient redemption anytime, download the Globe Rewards app via Google Play or App Store and click on the Rewards section to view the list of offers you can get using your points. Choose your desired reward and tap redeem to proceed with your transaction. You may also redeem Telco offers via SMS by texting REDEEM <KEYWORD> to 4438, or by dialing *143# (source: www.globe.com.ph).

How to Redeem Globe Rewards Points as Mobile Data Promos

[1] Dial *143#. Wait for the USSD codes to load. It takes a few seconds before these unstructured supplementary service data (USSD) codes are fully loaded. These are quick codes or feature codes used by GSM cellular telephones to communicate with the mobile network operator’s computers. Skip these technical things though.

[2] Select REWARDS. You can easily get into the steps upon seeing the list of options and their corresponding number codes. Type in the number code for REWARDS. That’s 10 (unless it’s different on your end). Then, hit SEND.

[3] Select REDEEM REWARDS. Another list of options and number codes appears. Do the same process – type in the number code for REDEEM REWARDS and press SEND.

[4] Select GLOBE TELCO PRODUCT. You are directed to another list of options –either proceed to choosing GLOBE TELCO PRODUCT or go back to previous options. Of course, select the first one. Do the same typing and sending.

[5] Decide for your Mobile Data Promo. Among the listed items, you also have the NEXT and BACK OPTIONS. You may check NEXT for more mobile data promos. If you don’t know how many Globe Rewards points each promo requires, you may do the trial and error approach. Type the number code, click send, and repeat if your points do not qualify for one.

[6] Finalize the process with REDEEM and WITHOUT MPIN OPTIONS. You will be asked to select REDEEM, WITHOUT MPIN, and REDEEM (again) options. You will get SMS notifications after either successful or unsuccessful redemption or conversion of your Globe Rewards points to mobile data promos.
