Bloggers do not need a degree in Information Technology or a techie team to make money online. Many started with a simple self-hosted WordPress blog with quality content and regular audience traffic, that later became a stream of numerous income opportunities.
Neither do bloggers need a large sum of money to set up blogs, because with around PHP 4,000.00 (for one-year domain and web hosting plan), I had iMillennial set up. It has been running for eight prolific months now. Well, thanks to many available do-it-yourself WordPress articles and free themes online. The internet is full of useful and free information, so you can learn how to use widgets, add plugins, customize themes, and so on.
Bloggers can set up WordPress self-hosted blogs in an hour or less. Aside from one-click WordPress installer and other services, many web hosts promise an excellent client support alongside technical encounters among beginning bloggers on their personal blogs or business websites. I personally recommend SiteGround on top of all WordPress web hosting companies. But there are many providers that offer WordPress hosting, so you should do additional research to find the best fit for you.
If you need a basic know-how in setting up a WordPress self-hosted blog, the outline below can be of great help. To read the full article, click this link Paano Gumawa ng Sariling Blog (Self-Hosted Blog).

After a week or two of setup, I did a rigid research about monetization and signed up for Google AdSense advertising program. Read this article to find out how I got my Google AdSense application approved in a month or less: Can I Blog in Tagalog (Filipino) for Google AdSense Monetization?
Advertising. Professional bloggers around the world have already been shifting from advertising to affiliate marketing and other monetization means because of a big revenue difference. Advertising platforms such as Google AdSense may no longer provide a maximum income unless your blog receives thousands of hits a day. However, these platforms are still worth trying especially for beginning bloggers.
With Google AdSense, Filipino bloggers receive payouts in dollars. Doing my readings then about earnings of top bloggers in the Philippines, I came across a credible article detailing how a blogger has been making a daily AdSense revenue around 30 dollars or PHP 1, 500.00.
Aside from Google AdSense advertising program, bloggers can also use available WordPress advertising plugins to sell ad spaces directly. Bloggers find it more lucrative as ad space prices and terms can be negotiated directly with the sponsors, hence no intermediaries.
Affiliate Marketing. Bloggers publish product and service reviews under affiliate marketing programs and end up convincing readers to click links and avail offers. Affiliate marketing programs do not promise earnings on a regular basis, but can pay bloggers a reasonable percentage cut on referral purchases.
Other than article referral links, bloggers have also learned the power of email marketing where product marketing and other promotions are made through newsletter subscriptions, hence building their email lists.
Selling Digital Products. Electronic books or ebooks become very popular because of electronic gadgets. Many bloggers, both professionals and beginners, have already made a fortune selling ebooks to thousands of readers through their blogs. In selling ebooks, price does not really matter (even with a few cents), rather the quality of the content and size of the market.
Aside from ebooks, digital courses and other virtual products can be sold on blogs as many people have already patronized the credible online market of business consultancies, learning materials, and software products.
Securing Sponsorships. When bloggers become leaders in their niches, sponsors seek them for partnerships. Sponsored articles linked back to business websites are sent to bloggers for publication on their blogs. As expected, bloggers and sponsors simply agree on the terms and conditions of sponsorships including the publication fee.
Creating Restricted Membership Content. In the Philippines, other business and investment websites offer a value-add to clients by keeping premium content for restricted or private access. For instance, stock investment bloggers provide premium members with expert analyses and trading recommendations in exchange for a monthly membership fee.
Maintaining such blogs and websites can be demanding. Usually, bloggers hire a team to provide quality content and customer support.
Blogging can be more than just a hobby or a way of advancing your online presence. It can also be an opportunity to make a fortune, to make dollars. If you have just started with a personal blog, then I suggest you do a lot of research about improving audience traffic, writing quality articles, and monetizing content.
